My darts are tagged sorta like the Team Fortress logo on the back.

You might want to do something more obvious and distinctive. Just doing that on the bottom of the dart while probably "unique" doesn't make for easy and obvious identification.

Something along the shaft (lol shaft) of the dart would be a lot better.

Just a Suggestion

I've been thinking about this exact problem.

I'm not sure where we stand on this at the moment. I'll bring it up in the next mod meeting.

If anything I think it could go one of two ways:

1. The paint is very light, probably from a spray can or such and as a result its essentially the same as marking them with colours - so there should be no problem I imagine (although black is probably bad (also bad cause you'd lose them)).

2. The paint is thick and as a result actually adds to the weight of the dart - this might make it more harmful on a hit but more likely I think it would just make the darts fly less well and possibly rub against the inside of the barrel, slowing them down.

I think in most cases however it would be a case of #1, which I think should be allowed.

probably from a spray can

on this note, in case i've provoked anyone's creativity to paint their darts, i'd advise AGAINST using spray paints, i know sprays will pretty much melt most foam, might wanna test it on one dart before you line up all your darts and melt them away.

Citadel Spray paints (yeah.... $25 a can...) are fine for buzz-bee darts, haven't tried them on streamlines yet.
