Joe's log - The cape lives!

Postby Jeo » Mon Jul 26, 2010 2:23 am

PiP rolled out well tonight. I think there was about 18-20 total? We all split up into small groups of 3-4 and spread out around campus. Anthony and Chun joined me as we headed out to Copland. Met up with Phill from BnG and adopted him for the evening. We would have missed the items near the BBQ a good 10 times before two unsquaded humans found them.

We then wandered around campus for another hour or so before calling it at about 2.

Still human.

I was still human when I posted that. Hell, I was still human for most of today.
In an effort to speed up the game a little, the mods offered me the opportunity to be an OZ at about 3pm. But I'll run through the details in a little more depth.

Got to uni about 8:45. Wandered into Pajenkas, didn't see a single zombie, only 1-2 humans. Did the unarmed human on union court bridge thing. Ran a few missions to find assorted items/escapium. Went on a gun run to 1070 and to Kingsley st. Epic amount of guns was epic. Few more outing to attempt to find things. Got offered the OZ spot about 3. Took Simon and Greg on a walk. Wasn't reminding them of stun timers obviously but we still kept doing them. Kept checking my watch to make sure I was still inactive. Thought I was fine, saw an opening and went for the tag. Unfortunately for me, Greg had subtlety stunned me just a few moments before. Crap it :( Cover blown and I have no tags. Walked off to find some more humans before everyone knew. About 11 minutes later I run into the Cavalry on University Ave and I start a rumour that Greg was the OZ and he tried to tag me. They don't check me as they're preoccupied with the thought that Greg was the OZ. I got close enough to get James :)

Cover is well and truly blown at this point so I disappeared to find a computer. Found Ben and two other Blackcoats. They already knew I was an OZ and got me with plenty of room. I tired the "no Greg is" card again but he saw right through it, called Erin and got confirmation from Beau. Crap. Ran off, waited my 10 minutes then came out looking for people again. Caught two guys leaving Engineering. Got one of them. Stalked Rouge Squadron for a little while, they knew what was up. Found the mods and shop on Union Bridge. Got a 'free trial' of the necklace. Chased a few humans. Went to the mission. Mainly just tried to get in the way.

A good time was had.

See you tomorrow guys.

Turned up nice and early. Got a little hunting in but didn't achieve much. Hit the shop, achieved little. Went hunting, no tags myself but our group got a couple in Copland. Epic chase with Colin Aslin from Zambreos to the MCC ramp (sooooo close to getting him). Turned up to our escort mission but decided to stay back and watch for humans, rather than being with the horde (my costume being less than subtle and all).

Got our human mission intel and scouted out a few locations. Ran into a few humans, again assisted in a few tags. Ok, there was much more to those two parts but they weren't particularly interesting so I'll skip ahead.

Had lunch. Walked to Coombs. Got word of the second shop opening time <2minutes before it opened. Bolted from Combs, to Pajenkas, to Psych. Got our geocache. Threw up my lunch in the bushes. Had a good sit for a little while as the humans rolled in. Ate again but actually let it digest this time. Twas much better.

Random hunting for a few more hours. Ended up at BPB. Found out about the 'capture the flag mini-mission'. Richard and I sprinted for Eleanor, got our cone and continued to the other end of Uni ave. Had a great conversation with Chris at this point as we knew where the pickup point was but didn't know where we had to take it. Thus sprinting down uni ave while on the phone with Chris was hard. I've been informed that my side of the conversation was basically "lkhjhlkjsdh ashhjhjh hjashdfkjhs akjhhjk stairs" :) Got the cones together. Took the photo on my phone. Realised I could only post to Facebook. Ran to engineering and posted it up only to find out that Chris had already done it. Found out that we had to go to union court to get our prize. Thought it had to be Chris to collect the prize so Richard and I decided to set a decoy by running to the mod, standing there for a minute then running inside. So we ran ahead of the main group, got to Eddy and he gave us our prize. Apparently me posting after Chris was still a good thing :) Ran inside so it was safe.

I then sent all of the zombies inside Pajenkas out to union court to harrass the groups of humans trying to leave. Found out I had to go see the Mystic in Union Court. Shit. All on my own with items and I need to get out of the union building...
Eventually worked up the courage to just run for it and it worked out well. Spoke to the Mystic. Made it back inside.

Rolled out for the night mission. Mostly hung back taking photos as I was totally stuffed. Also, I wanted some cool photos. Mad props to the zombies for their efforts in the mission tonight and throughout the day. You guys were awesome.

Went to the pub to fraternise with some humans.

Mild cop out but this is hard and I'm tired. Very brief summary tonight sorry guys.

Got to uni about 9. Went to Copland as Carlie had to print something so Richard, Chris and I hung around hunting for a little bit. Went to MCC at 10 for the lecture change. Met up with a whole bunch of other zombies. Got word of the shop. Hit the shop hard, got someone out fast. Annoyed the humans as they arrived, a few close calls but nothing major. Dane went on his dart run, humans left, Dane came back, almost died. Sooooo close, twas very 'touch and go'. Went randomly hunting again. Staked out engineering for a little while but got bored and went looking for humans.

Got word of the human mission and headed for the street theatre end of Uni ave. Found many humans and some zombies. Thought they had to go straight down Uni ave so set a bunch of ambushes along the way, quickly figured out that they didn't and had to call them all back. Started harassing the humans as they made their way towards Psych. Got caught in between the two groups of humans at one point, that didn't end well. Almost got Burgo. :( Followed the first group right up to Psych and got asked to leave. Wandered back down Uni ave then saw the humans again at the far end. Ran back down there, set up a brilliant new style of charge I thought up last night, then realised they were heading back to the door zone and my plan wouldn't work. Figured they'd break and run being so close to the door zone so called a good old fashioned charge. No kills for myself but many for zombie kind (Richard got 3...).

Newly turned zombies then gave us all of the mission information so we ran off to find the shop keeper and brought him back. Win.

Had lunch. Sat around Pajenkas for a little while. Went randomly hunting. Got word of a big group over by Coombs, then Hancock, then Law, then Katerinas. Eventually foudn them at Katerinas and had a good chat with them. Went back to Pajenkas. Found out about the next human mission but they had it finished before we got there. Held up a bunch of humans in Coombs for hours before they taxi'd out of there.

Went to our meeting point for the night mission. Again decided to focus on one group. Got a few kills but nothing like last night. Basically as was to be expected.

Good day all in all. Crashing into Richard at some point in the afternoon and missing a kill because of it would probably be the low point. Best of luck tomorrow kids.
